SRI LANKA - Pearl of the Indian Oce

Sri Lanka is beautiful country and it's nature consist of very much beauties.Wild Life of Sri Lanka information, National Parks such as Hakgala and Peradeniya, Safari's of Sri Lanka such as Yala national Park and Willpatthuwa park, Waterfalls such as Duhinda  Diyaluma  Bambarakanda, Tea Estates such as Bogawanthalawa Labukele  Demodara  Nuwaraeliya  Deniyaya, Hiking Tours such as Welimada Nuwaraeliya Knukles Kirigalpottha totupola, Bird Sanctuaries such as Sinharaja Bundala Yala Kumana, Peaks such as Piduruthalagala Namunukula, Sinharaja forest reserve, Upcountry Railway tours in badulla bandarawela Ella, Tunnels such as Streepura 18th tunnel and residential places Horton plain is a highest plane of Sri Lanka. That place has highest gap called "Worlds end" and very beautiful waterfall called  "Bakers Waterfall".  Border of Badulla and Nuwaraeliya Districts several places to vist. Very much cooler and comfortable villages available in Sri Lanka such as Shanthipura, Ohiya, Haputale, Pattipola and Ambewela . Ambewela also hill country cool village and Milko milk powder factory and Ambewela New Zealand farm is situated in there.


Several waterfalls and mountains are available in Badulla,
 Nuwaraeliya and Rathnapura districts. Highest mountain
 of Sri Lanka is "Piduruthalagala" mountain. 2nd and 3rd are Kirigalpottha and Totupola.





Highest Railway station above sea level  of Sri Lanka is "Pattipola". It is 1892m.
Above from Sea level Pattipola has very dark railway tunnel. That Tunnel
 Identify as "Tunnel 18" because that tunnel is  at18th location from railway tunnels.

SINHARAJA FOREST

*Sinharaja has various type of natural plants, species and endemic varieties. Biological and Bio-diversity of Sinharaja forest is very higher than other places of Sri Lanka. Sinharaja is situated at monotone wet zone of Sri Lanka and is rained at every times of year.

                                                                          Waterfalls


 *There are 8 very beautiful waterfalls and unlimited waterways at Pitadeniya enterence to Sinharaja forest. Those are Kekuna falls, Pathanoya falls, Malmora falls, Brahmana falls, Galdoru falls, Uran Wetuna falls, Thattu falls and Dhoowili falls. All those waterfalls and catogories in Sri Lankan major waterfalls list and it may seen various sceneries in various angles. Some   
                                                      waterfalls are very higher and some are narrow once. 
                                                      Dhoowili falls is most beautiful waterfall in 
                                                      Sinharaja and Galdoru falls is some what different shape of 
                                                      waterfalls. Waterfalls locations at below section

Sapphire                                    


Sapphire is an aluminum oxide. Its colour varies from very light to dark blue to violetish-blue, bluish-green, yellow, slightly reddish-orange, brown, nearly opaque black, colourless, pink, violet and the pinkish-orange padparadscha (lotus flower).

Varieties 
Coloured varieties, star sapphire, alexandrite-like sapphire. 



Ruby

Varieties

Chrysoberyl


The species name chrysoberyl is given to a transparent, faceted gemstone that does not show a colour change between daylight and artificial light (the chrysoberyl which shows a colour change is called alexandrite). The ideal colours of chrysoberyl are green and yellowish-green. In addition, due to strong dichroism, one may see an
attractive bi-coloured chrysoberyl occasionally. Hardness is 8.5 on the Moh's scale. The high refractive index of the stone makes it very lively when properly cut and polished




Citrine


A transparent variety of quartz, silicon dioxide, occurring in yellow to red-orange to orange-brown. The name is derived from citron, which is French for lemon.

Varieties
Madeira (deep, bright reddish-brown) and Palmyra (medium yellowish-brown) are terms used in the trade. 




Peridot


Peridot is a silicate of magnesium and iron, occurring in yellowish-green, green, greenish-yellow, brownish-green and brown (all transparent).

Varieties
Peridot top grades: medium to dark, slightly yellowish-green. Chrysolite ? greenish-yellow, light to dark yellowish-green to brownish-green to almost brown. 



Star of Lanka
Third largest star sapphire on record. The phenomenal stone is a rich deep-blue in colour and has a well-defined six-ray star. Owned by the National Gem & Jewellery Authority in Sri Lanka.
